Paper and pulp are made from cellulosic fibers and other plant materials. At the start of the papermaking process the solution comprises of roughly 1 fibre and 99 water.

The Full Paper Making Process

The paper then passes over a series of steam heated cylinders to remove the remaining water.

Paper production process steps. Preparation of the fibers sheet formation and drying. The base ingredient of the majority of papers is wood so the first step in paper manufacturing is the harvesting of trees. The fact that mankind ever stumbled upon this process is shear genius as the paper making process follows three steps.

Once they arrive the trunks are fed through a bark skimming drum in which they are forced to collide and rub together. The paper then moves onto the press section of the machine where it is pressed between rollers of wool felt. Dilution process to form a thin fiber mixture.

The grades of recovered paper are put on the conveyor to the pulper in the ratio mentioned in the recipe. The stock preparation is done in accordance with a recipe for each paper grade and grammage. At this point the pulp is 99 5 water to 0 5 pulp.

Preparation of the fibers. Formation of fibers on a thin screen. A film of chemicals is applied to the surface of the dried paper to improve the properties of the paper before being wound onto 8 5 metre wide jumbo reels.

Our paper machines remove water from the fibre solution. Finishing process to provide a suitable surface for usage. Once the trees have been felled and shred down to their trunks they are transported to a paper mill.

Drying to eliminate the moisture in the materials. Diluting the paper fibres this way allows us to make thin uniform paper. Pressurization to enhance the materials density.

A large machine may have from 40 to 70 drying cylinders. But of course most of our printers can t print on paper of those dimensions so the jumbo reels have to be cut up into smaller pieces. The pulp mixture and water are spread across a forming fabric which resembles a large mesh screen on the front end or wet end of the paper machine.

With a pre selection method it is possible to determine the suitability of a certain recovered paper mix for the stock preparation and paper process.
